I hung it in my daughter's room. With the ocean view and breeze outside the window, the seagull sway it's wings and flying slowly...Seeing this , we are very relaxed and comfortable.
This wooden seagull mobile is so cute. Just pull the string and it will start "flying". Love it!
I LOVE this. It's gorgeous. This is one of those things that makes me kind of happy just looking at it. I have it in my home office/den. I spend A LOT of time in here, since I work in here, and then, since I love the room so much, I use this room more than my living room. I redecorated and added two small loveseats and a tv, too. And an electric fireplace.
However, it was one of my kids' bedrooms for a while, and that mural you see was there when it was a bedroom. ANd, this seagull looks great in front of the seascape mural.
It's really nice. I love it. The only thing that I don't really love is the ceiling fan does not budge it at all-- the wings only move if you pull the ball. That's okay, btw-- but I wish it moved from the air movement.
Nice item. It would look great almost anywhere.
The seagulls came with instructions for the assembly, and once assembled, it looked as advertised. There is not much to it, only to put a pin between the wings and the seagull's body. It appears to be solid wood; the body, of course, is heavy, and it creates the balance; it works to perfection. I love playing with it. The finish is excellent, and it looks just like the white of a seagull. The seagull is the perfect gift for someone with a beach house. Worth it.
I grew up by the beach and miss the swooping and calling of the seagulls. I saw this and had to have it! There are no assembly instructions, and while it's easy to put together, you'll want to refer to the pictures on this page. My biggest problem has been finding where to put it; it's pretty big and also hangs fairly low so you need some space. I'm considering putting it outside but with winter on the way I'm not sure, even though they say it can go outdoors. I love how the wings move rhythmically and gracefully. Brings me back to summer days at the beach.
